Performing Arts Fort Worth welcomes Country Royalty, a tribute to the music of country music legends Hank Williams and Patsy Cline, to Bass Performance Hall as part of the BNSF Popular Entertainment series on Wednesday, February 15 at 7:30 p.m. Tickets start at $22, and are on sale now.

Country Royalty is a tribute show that pays homage to the music of Hank Williams and Patsy Cline, two of the most pivotal singers in the history of country music. Jason Petty takes on the role of Williams; Texan and Grammy Award® nomineeCarolyn Martin sings the songs immortalized by Cline.

Jason Petty made a striking impression on critics and fans for his work in the off-Broadway hit, Hank Williams: Lost Highway, which played to sold out audiences at New York’s Little Shubert Theatre. “At times it seems as if Petty is not just offering an impersonation of Williams, but channeling his ghost,” wrote The New York Post. For his portrayal of Williams in Lost Highway, Petty won an Obie Award for Outstanding Actor.

A 2011 inductee into the Texas Western Swing Hall of Fame, Caroyln Martin is a Texas-born, Nashville-based western swing singer. A former member of the renowned western swing band The Time Jumpers, Martin Garnered two Grammy nominations with the outfit and was also featured on the group’s DVD, “Jumping Time.” Last year, her Cookin’ with Carolyn CD won the Best Western Swing award from the Western Music Association.

The duo will perform more than 20 songs by Williams and Cline, including “Move it on Over,” “You Win Again,” “I’m So Lonesome I Could Cry,” “I Fall to Pieces,” “Crazy” and “She’s Got You.”
