New theatre company Not Right Productions presents Unnecessary Farce, by Paul Slade Smith, directed by A.J. Ericson. Performances will be at Rover Dramawerks in Plano, located in Ruisseau Village at 221 W. Parker Rd, Suite 580, at the northwest corner of Parker and 75. Performances are June 7-16 on Thursdays and Fridays at 8:00 p.m. and Saturdays at 3:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. Thursday, June 7 is considered a preview performance.

Two cops. Three crooks. Eight doors. Go. In a cheap motel room, an embezzling mayor (played by Chris Espinoza) is supposed to meet with his female accountant (Samantha Pettigrew), while in the room next-door, two undercover cops (Kerri Lyn Scott and Tom McKee) wait to catch the meeting on videotape. But there's some confusion as to who's in which room, who's being videotaped, who's taken the money, who's hired a hit man (played by Daniel White), and why the accountant keeps taking off her clothes. Rounding out the ensemble cast are Sara Jones as the mayor's wife and Jason Davis as a hapless security guard.

This is Not Right Productions' second show, following their December hit, Inspecting Carol.

Tickets for Unnecessary Farce are $15.00. The Thursday, June 7 preview performance is just $10.00. Tickets may be ordered online at www.roverdramawerks.com or at the door.
