New theatre company Not Right Productions presents Inspecting Carol, by Daniel Sullivan and the Seattle Repertory Theatre, directed by Artistic Director Paul McKenzie. Performances will be at Rover Dramawerks in Plano, located in Ruisseau Village at 221 W. Parker Rd, Suite 580, at the northwest corner of Parker and 75. Performances are Fridays, December 1 and 8 at 8:00 p.m. and Saturdays, December 2 and 9 at 3:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m., with a preview performance on Thursday, November 30 at 8:00 p.m.
A Christmas Carol meets The Government Inspector meets Noises Off in this hilarious hit from Seattle. A terrible actor (played by Craig Robertson) who asks to audition at a small theater is mistaken by the company's directors (Dana Harrison and Joe Barr) for an informer for the National Endowment for the Arts. As they are broke, everyone caters to the bewildered wannabe actor, and he is given a role in the current production, A Christmas Carol. Everything goes wrong and hilarity is piled upon hilarity! Perfect anytime, this delight is particularly appropriate at Christmas.
Rounding out the ensemble cast are Andrew Burns, Sue Goodner, Eddy Herring, Garrett Holton, Riley Niksich, Nancy Pistilli, Audie Preston, Courtney Robertson, and Regg Wilcox.
Tickets for Inspecting Carol are $15.00. The Thursday, November 30 preview performance is just $10.00. Tickets may be ordered online at www.roverdramawerks.com or at the door.
