Leave everything you remember about Peter Pan at the door and get ready for this hilarious retelling of how a miserable orphan came to be The Boy Who Would Not Grow Up.

North Texas Performing Arts Repertory Theatre is pleased to announce the cast and creative team for its upcoming production of Peter and the Starcatcher, running September 6-14, 2019 at Willow Bend Center of the Arts. Ryan Matthieu Smith will direct this production with Choreographer Raymond Govender and Fight Choreographer Jonah Guttierez.

A gender neutral cast of a dozen actors will use their enormous talent, ingenious stagecraft and the limitless possibilities of imagination to bring the story to life. The cast features Kennedy Styron (Boy, Peter Pan), Avery Baker (Molly), Lindsay Lintelman (Black Stache), Caleb Pieterse (Smee), Travis Carrick (Lord Aster), Benjamin Bratcher (Bill Slank, Hawking Clam), David Helms (Mrs. Brumbrake, Teacher), Kelton Neals (Alf), Duncan Michael (Gremkin, Fighting Prawn, Mack, Sanchez), Shane Morgan (Captain Robert Falcon Scott), Taylor Mercado Owen (Prentiss) and Dayan Rodriguez (Ted).

Peter and the Starcatcher follows Molly, who has been tasked with protecting a cargo of stardust. Of the utmost importance is that the stardust doesn't end up in the wrong hands. When an orphan crosses paths with Molly, however, everything changes and the most infamous little boy emerges from the fallout.

Written by Rick Elice with music by Wayne Barker and based on the best-selling novel by Dave Barry and Ridley Pearson this swashbuckling adult prequel to Peter Pan will have you hooked from the moment you let your imagination take flight.
