Mainstage Irving Las Colinas, Irving's premiere community theatre, kicks off 2019 with the dark comedy Ravenscroft, a psychological thriller that is equal parts funny and frightening. On a snowy night, Inspector Ruffing is called to a remote house to investigate the headlong plunge of Patrick Roarke down the main staircase. Five alluring and dangerous women lead him through a bewildering labyrinth of contradictory versions of Patrick's demise and that of the late Mr. Ravenscroft. There are ghosts on the staircase! There are skeletons in the closet! A fast-paced murder mystery, Ravenscroft will keep you guessing until the very end.
Andi Allen directs a cast that includes Geoff Leonard-Robinson as Inspector Ruffing, Lynsey Hale as Marcy, the governess, Natalie Johnson as Mrs. Ravenscroft, Jessica Peterson as Gillian Ravenscoft, Hannah Asdel as Dolly, the maid and Teagan Batts as Mrs. French, the housekeeper. Joining the aforementioned Allen on the creative team is Rachel DuPree (stage manager), Wendy Searcy-Woode (scenic designer), Barbara Cox (costume designer), and Kevin Mikolajcak (lighting designer). Ravenscroft is produced by Mary Bongfeldt, Tom Ortiz, and Charles Wallace.
Ravenscroft runs Friday, January 18 through Saturday, February 2 with Friday and Saturday evening performances at 7:30 PM and Sunday matinee performances at 2:30 PM on the Dupree Theatre stage at the Irving Arts Center (3333 N MacArthur Blvd, Irving, Texas).
