Celebrate with Lyric Stage as it moves to the Majestic Theatre for its 25th season. For its first production at the historic Dallas venue, Lyric Stage has chosen THE HUNCHBACK OF NOTRE DAME, a lushly scored retelling of Victor Hugo's epic story of love, acceptance and what it means to be a hero from the Academy Award-winning team of Alan Menken (BEAUTY AND THE BEAST, THE LITTLE MERMAID) and Stephen Schwartz (WICKED, PIPPIN). Performances are Friday and Saturday, November 17 & 18 @ 7:30 PM and Saturday and Sunday, November 18 & 19 @ 2:30 PM. Tickets are available by calling 214-871-5000 or online @ www.lyricstage.org.

Based on the Victor Hugo novel with songs from the Disney animated feature, THE HUNCHBACK OF NOTRE DAME showcases the film's Academy Award-nominated score, as well as new songs by Menken and Schwartz. Peter Parnell's new book embraces Victor Hugo's gothic novel.

The musical begins as the bells of Notre Dame sound through the famed cathedral in fifteenth-century Paris. Quasimodo, the deformed bell-ringer who longs to be "Out There," observes all of Paris reveling in the Feast of Fools. Held captive by his devious caretaker, the archdeacon Dom Claude Frollo, he escapes for the day and joins the boisterous crowd, only to be treated cruelly by all but the beautiful gypsy, Esmeralda. Quasimodo isn't the only one captivated by her free spirit, though - the handsome Captain Phoebus and Frollo are equally enthralled. As the three vie for her attention, Frollo embarks on a mission to destroy the gypsies - and it's up to Quasimodo to save them all.

Andrew Keeler makes his Lyric Stage debut as Quasimodo. Catherine Carpenter Cox, whose past Lyric Stage credits include Eva Peron in EVITA, Rosie in BYE BYE BIRDIE and Nancy in OLIVER, is Esmerelda. Christopher J. Deaton, last seen at Lyric Stage as Lancelot in CAMELOT, is Captain Phoebus de Martin. Christopher Sanders returns to Lyric Stage, after playing Emile de Becque in SOUTH PACIFIC and Beauregard Jackson Pickett Burnside in MAME, as Claude Frollo. Also in the cast are Brandon McInnis as Clopin Trouillefou, Erica Peterman as Florika, James Williams as Father Dupin, Sarah Comley Caldwell, Amber Flores, Cora Grace Winstead, Katie Moyes Williams, Shannon Conboy, Brigitte Reinke, Madison Calhoun, Alyssa Barnes, Vivian Frederick, Nancy Lopez, Sarah Lapaz, Samantha Been, Amy Stevenson, Teresa Natera, Justin White, Scott Sutton, David Meglino, Jonathan McInnis, Christian Teague, Dominic Pecikonis, Rodney Morris, Quinn Moran, Kieran Hansen, Colin Phillips, Dylan Prentice, Aaron Bunnell, Austin Zhuang, Alex Beane, Trey Cardona, Trey Tolleson, Robert Twaddell, and Brandon Loera.

Penny Ayn Maas directs and choreographs the production with music direction by Sheilah Vaughn Walker. Scenic design is by Randel Wright, with lighting design by Julie Simmons and sound design by Bill Eickenloff.

Performances are @ The Majestic Theatre, 1925 Elm St, Dallas, TX 75201. Performances are Friday and Saturday, November 17 & 18 @ 7:30 PM and Saturday and Sunday, November 18 & 19 @ 2:30 PM. Tickets are available by calling 214-871-5000 or online @ www.lyricstage.org.
