James Braly's LIFE IN MARITAL INSTITUTION (20 Years of Monogamy in One Terrifying Hour), written by and starring James Braly, directed by Hal Brooks (Colin Quinn's Long Story Short, Nilaja Sun's No Child...), and presented and produced by Meredith Vieira Productions, will travel to Bass Performance Hall's McDavid Studio for 6 performances, tonight, June 26-30, 2013.

In LIFE IN A MARITAL INSTITUTION, James Braly shares his poignant and darkly humorous story of what thirteen couples counselors have called a passionate, bi-polar relationship. Hailed as "never less than excellent" by The New York Times and "gaspingly funny" by Variety, Braly dives head first into a tale of attraction, repulsion, death, and the afterlife...or the tragicomedy of married life.

LIFE IN A MARITAL INSTITUTION premiered at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe, had sold?out and critically-acclaimed runs at 59E59 Theaters and the Soho Playhouse in New York City and has been performed nationally in 14 cities. It was a New York Times Critics' Pick, a TimeOut New York Critics' Pick, and was featured on This American Life and The Moth Radio Hour. The show has played over 250 performances. Braly's memoir based on the show, LIFE IN A MARITAL INSTITUTION (20 Years of Monogamy in One Terrifying Memoir), was recently released by St. Martin's Press.

Former TODAY co-anchor and WHO WANTS TO BE A MILLIONAIRE host Meredith Vieira produces LIFE IN A MARITAL INSTITUTION with producing partner Amy Rapp through her Production Company Meredith Vieira Productions.

Tickets for Meredith Vieira Productions presents LIFE IN A MARITAL INSTITUTION (20 Years of Monogamy in One Terrifying Hour) at Bass Performance Hall in Fort Worth, TX are on sale now at www.basshall.com. Tickets start at $27.50.
