Kaufman County Civic Theatre holding auditions for 'The Music Man'

Auditions for Kaufman County Civic Theatre's production of The Music Man are being held at the theatre Jun. 13-14 from 2-4 pm.
The Music Man is a musical with book, music, and lyrics by Meredith Willson based on a story by Willson and Franklen Lacey. The show centers on a con man, the relationship he has with a small town librarian, and what happens when the town's people discover his plot to swindle them.
Numerous roles are available for men, women and children of all ages. Auditions will consist of vocal try-outs and cold readings from the script. Prepare 16 bars of any song and bring appropriate sheet music. Piano accompaniment will be provided.
