The Katy Visual & Performing Arts Center (KVPAC) Board of Trustees is hosting their annual fundraiser once more at the beautiful Agave Road located at 1016 FM 1463 in Katy on Thursday, October 18, 2012 from 6:30-10:00pm. The event will be a Masquerade benefiting all KVPAC Programming. As a 501(c)(3) non-profit arts education organization, KVPAC annually serves more than 38,000 children, youth and adults through its tuition based classes, community theatre productions, outreach programs and free ARTS for ALL! Family Festival. Patti Lacy Realtor, Coldwell Banker, is slated to sponsor this year's Board Benefit for a fourth consecutive year.
At the masquerade, delicious foods will be served and DJ dancing courtesy of KVPAC. To celebrate the Arabian Nights theme, a special presentation by professional belly dancing troupe, The Crimson Vagabond Road Show, will be performed. The evening will round out with enjoyable Vegas-style games by Casino Pro, and an array of silent auction items for bidding pleasure that are affordable across the spectrum. KVPAC's Board of Trustees is an all volunteer group, comprised of local Katy residents Patti Lacy (President), Katrina Rogers (Vice President), Maria Garza Lennon (Secretary), Joy Guercio(Treasurer), RoBert Smith, Anne Campbell and Matt Hill. Environmental Resources Management (ERM) will be honored by the Board at this event with the Katy Visual & Performing Arts Center's annual Art of Katy Award. This award is presented each year to a major KVPAC advocate who has gone above and beyond their commitment to community service through KVPAC. Rose Nurre will be presented with KVPAC'sVolunteer of the Year Award.
