Join the friendly group, ages 14 to adult, at KVPAC on Monday evenings from 7:00 to 8:00pm and learn to view the world in a whole new way with the Creative Photography Course.
The classes begin February 23 and runs through April 6 (no class on March 16) and will include informal discussions, constructive critiques and professional guidance to help you improve in the art of photography in a non-technical way. Photographic examples will be viewed, followed by simple photo assignments to help hone your craft. Students provide their own cameras. Allan A. Philiba (asmp) (ADCNY) will conduct the Creative Photography Course. Allan joined KVPAC in 2007 as an art and photography faculty member. He is an award-winning location photographer, art director and graphic designer.Born in Paris, Allan studied art & design in New York City. An Army Corps of Engineer veteran with specialized training in camouflage and engineering construction, he has created and designed advertising and promotional campaigns for scores of Fortune 500 corporations. His "on location" photography through all of Western Europe, Eastern Europe, Asia, North America, all of South & Central America and Mexico, Asia, the Caribbean has appeared in numerous major publications with a myriad of major clients, including the US and French governments. He has taught painting and photography in Florida and Texas for approximately 6 years. Featured in American Photographers, an illustrated Who's Who among photographers, he has just recently won first place for his single photo and first and second place for his two acrylic paintings entered in the Artists@Work art competition here in Katy.
