Katy Visual & Performing Arts Center (KVPAC), a non-profit organization, presents the KVPAC ARTS for ALL! Family Festival each year as a community service in partnership with the management and retailers of LaCenterra at Cinco Ranch, located at 23501 Cinco Ranch Boulevard, Katy, TX 77494. The Master of Ceremonies is Tom Zizka, co-anchor of FOX 26 Morning News, and non-stop festival action begins at 10 a.m. with a presentation of the colors by Boy Scout Troop 584, the Pledge of Allegiance led by Katy Mayor Don Elder, and the national anthem sung by Amy Katsarelis. The festival line up features professional performances by Houston Grand Opera's "Daughter of the Regiment",Books Alive! Literacy Program presentation of The Three Nasty Gnarlies, Stage Presence, Puppet Pizzazz, and Bob the Magician Magic Show. Young local talent will also shine as the Katy YMCA Jump Rope Team and students from Champion Gymnastics and Hwarang Tigers Tae Kwando demonstrate their skills. Dust Duhon Original Country Band will perform, and cast members from KVPAC's production of Disney's Beauty and the Beast will present a number from the show.
Local businesses and non-profit organizations are providing booths at the festival, and all booth activities are provided free-of-charge to attendees. The Bug Reaper, Bounce U, Westside Learning Spot, Saturday's Child Resale, Houston Swim Club, Ceramics By Tess, Pump it Up, Crayon's Resale, Stretch and Grow, and Imagine Arts Studio are a sampling of local business partners that will be participating in this year's festival.
