WaterTower Theatre today announced the cast for David Lindsay-Abaire's Good People, running June 6 - June 29, 2014 at the Addison Theatre Centre. The ensemble cast stars Jessica Cavanagh as Margaret, Jim Crawford as Mike, Michelle Courtney Schwartz as Jean, Pam Dougherty as Dottie, JuNene K. as Kate and David Price as Stevie.
Making their WaterTower Theatre stage debuts in Good People are Michelle Courtney Schwartz, JuNene K. and David Price.
The creative team for Good People is led by Director René Moreno. The team includes Scott Osborne as the Set Designer, Barbara Cox as the Costume Designer, Leann Burns as the Lighting Designer, Kellen Voss as the Sound Designer and Megan Beddingfield as the Properties Designer. The Assistant Director is Kelsey Leigh Ervi, the Stage Manager is Devon Miller and the Assistant Stage Manager is Kristin Van Sickle. Vicki Cheatwood is the Dramaturg and Susan Sargeant is the Dialect Coach.
Good People is sponsored, in part, by Million Air Dallas and Women of WaterTower Theatre (WOW!). This is the third year in a row that both Million Air Dallas and WOW! have sponsored a WTT production. Previously, Million Air Dallas sponsored Boeing-Boeing and Black Tie. WOW! started its own WOW! Production Fund three years ago and has raised funds within its membership to sponsor The Diary of Anne Frank, Putting it Together and Good People.
Good People was written in 2011 and had its world premiere at the Manhattan Theatre Club in New York City. The production was nominated for a 2011 Tony Award for Best Play. The play won the 2011 New York Drama Critics' Circle Award.
