This summer, instead of its traditional "camp", the Hill Country Community Theatre's Youth Summer Theatre Program will produce the musical, "Disney's Alice in Wonderland Jr."
"Students will still learn the fundamentals of acting," said Mike Rademaekers, the theatre's executive director. "Only this year, they will be doing that while rehearsing and presenting a full musical. All the kids who are accepted into the program will be cast in a role and perform on our stage for live audiences. It is going to be an awesome experience for them!"
HCCT is now taking applications for admission. The program runs for two weeks, June 12 through June 23, Mondaythrough Friday 1:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. If accepted, the price of the program is $195 per student, ages 8 to 17.
There will be four public performances of "Disney's Alice in Wonderland Jr." - Thursday, June 22 and Friday, June 23 at 6:00 PM, and Saturday, June 24 and Sunday, June 25 at 2:15 PM on the Hill Country Community Theatre stage.
For an application, call the theatre at (830) 693-2474, or email director@theHCCT.org.
