HAIRSPRAY's Kathy Brier Will Join Fellow ABC Soap Stars For Free Concert & Events In Fort Worth

Former Hairspray star Kathy Brier will appear with fellow ABC Daytime soap stars Kassie DePaiva and Bobbie Eakes in The Divas of Daytime, a free 45-minute concert at Billy Bob's Texas in Fort Worth on August 22.

The event is part of ABC Daytime and SOAPnet's Soap Nation Tour. Tour events start at Noon, and the trio is set to perform around 2pm.

According to reports, the performance will include songs such as "Chain of Fools," "When Will I Be Loved?" and "Son of a Preacher Man."

The tour stop will include celebrity meet-and-greets, autograph signings, auctions, and giveaways.

The stop will be hosted by Bradford Anderson (Spinelli, "General Hospital"), and will see Chrishell Stause (Amanda, "All My Children"), Bobbie Eakes (Krystal on "AMC"), Bree Williamson, Jamie Luner (Liza, "AMC"), Greg Vaughan (Lucky, "GH"), and Brandon Barash (Johnny, "GH").

Kathy Brier received a 2004 Supporting Actress Emmy Nomination for her work on long-running daytime soap One Life to Live. She can also be heard as the voice of Babalulu the clown on "Jo Jo's Circus" (Disney Playhouse Channel) and as the voice of Rosamond on the PBS animated series "Nate The Great."

Brier played Tracy Turnblad in Hairspray, opposite Harvey Fierstein, and originated the roles of Ron/Maggie in Off Broadway's Bat Boy: The Musical. Other NY stage credits include The Actor's Fund Benefit Concert of Hair, The Prince and the Pauper at The Lamb's, O'Casey's Knock at The Judith Anderson, Tango Ballad at The Actor's Studio and "A Broadway Diva Christmas" at the Julia Miles Theatre. Regional credits include Funny Girl, I Ought to Be in Pictures, Grease and Cinderella. Her solo debut CD "Heartbreaker" was released on Little Rock Records.
