"Ballroom With a Twist" is an extravagant evening of entertainment for the entire family, highlighted by stunning costumes, magnificent music and breathtaking performances. This brilliant new dance production is conceived and choreographed by "Dancing With The Stars" own, Emmy nominated, Louis Van Amstel. The Phil is proud to host the World premiere symphony version of this spectacular event at the Embassy Theatre November 19 and 20th as part of their Philharmonic Sweetwater Pops Series.
This groundbreaking new show stars "Dancing With The Stars" pro dancer Jonathan Roberts, who has partnered with Rachel Hunter, Heather Mills and Marie Osmond . Also live on stage will be Ade Obayomi this year's All Star from "So You Think You Can Dance" and Randi Lynn Evans (SYTYCD season 5). Vocals for the show will be provided by American Idol finalists David Hernandez (season 7), LaKisha Jones (Season 6) who starred in the Broadway version of "The Color Purple," Gina Glocksen (season 6) and Von Smith (season 8).
All dancing in "Ballroom With a Twist" is choreographed to music played live by the Fort Wayne Philharmonic Orchestra, under the direction of Associate Conductor Bradley Thachuk.
