FMPAT is pleased to announce that it is holding Auditions for new students for it's 2009 Fall Term. Auditions begin on Friday, May 22, 2009 by appointment.
Since 1993 FMPAT's Young Artist Training Program has been providing professional level training for students interested in pursuing a career in the performing arts. For fall 2009, there are limited openings for students in 1st to 12th grades in both Musical Theatre and Acting class. Our program is quite small, and offers a very low teacher student ratio working with the areas top teachers and working professionals.
Auditions: All youth and teen students, ages 7 - 18 must audition for the program. Only a limited number of students will be accepted, on a space available basis. Previous experience is helpful, but not necessary, as the faculty looks for bright, naturally gifted children that are ready to learn and whom take direction well.
Information on what to prepare for the auditions, along with other important program information may be found in the YATP 2009 - 2010 Student Handbook. (See website or link below.)
To schedule an audition, email FMPATheatre@aol.com or call 972-724-0727. Due to very limited openings and high interest, new students are encouraged to audition early for the best chance at a space in the program.
Limited financial aid is available to those who qualify. Financial Aid submissions must be received by June 1st. Information is available at http://www.fmpat.org/financial_aid_information.pdf. It is the goal of FMPAT that no admitted and qualified child be turned away due to an inability to pay.
We also hope to see you at our annual Youth Summer Production Camp's performances of INTO THE WOODS, running July 10 - July 18, 2009. Of course FMPAT's next main season production of GREATER TUNA, running May 28 - June 7, 2009 is sure to be an hysterical evening of live theatre for you and your family as well. TUNA tickets are currently on sale at www.fmpat.org, click 'Tickets'.
The YATP Program experience is one-of-a- kind. Our young performers achieve & learn more than they ever thought possible and emerge stronger performers and more self confident individuals as a result.
We hope to see you at the auditions!
