This March, award winning actress, Diana Sheehan will star as Maria Callas in Brick Road Theatre's production of MASTER CLASS by Terrence McNally.

Following LOVE, LOSS, AND WHAT I WORE, MASTER CLASS continues Brick Road's 2017-2018 season, which also includes the musicals A MAN OF NO IMPORTANCE and CABARET. Terry Martin (who recently departed WaterTower Theatre to lead the Greenhill School's Fine Arts program) directs the production.

MASTER CLASS is presented as a character study of the world-famous opera diva Maria Callas, who was celebrated as the greatest soprano of her generation. With her glory days behind her, the pedagogue is holding a master class for aspiring vocalists. Interpolated between her interactions with students, Callas frequently retreats to inner monologues that give audiences insight to the triumphs and challenges of her career, and the sacrifices she made for the love of her art. The show played a sold out run on Broadway in 2016 and received both the Tony Award and Drama Desk Awards for Best Play.

Joining Sheehan is Nancy Lopez as Sophie, Danielle Estes as Sharon, William Whitmire as Tony, Bruce Greer as Manny, and Tyler Cochran as Stagehand.

MASTER CLASS will be presented at the Courtyard Theater in Plano from March 23rd through March 26th. Tickets and more information can be found at www.brickroadtheatre.org.
