Denton Community Theatre Presents OTHER DESERT CITIES Image

Denton Community Theatre (DCT) is thrilled to present Other Desert Cities, a compelling story that is both poignant and witty. Directed by Bill Kirkley, this production has boasts a smart script, a stellar cast and beautiful visuals.

Brooke Wyeth comes home to Palm Springs to celebrate Christmas with her family and inform them about the book she is about to have published. The book is a memoir that includes a painful event in the family's history. The Wyeths are a well-to-do and influential family in California who do not want old wounds to be re-opened to public scrutiny. While many stories concern dysfunctional family dynamics, this is a story about imperfect but successful, loving family members that happen to have very differing points of view. Being family, they usually know how to make one another angry, or sad, and how to evoke a smile or a healing laugh. In the end, Brooke learns that those family bonds run deeper than she ever knew. Adult language.
