Denton Community Theatre Announces Auditions for Don't Dress For Dinner By Marc Camoletti & Adapted by Robin Hawdon
Auditions for Don't Dress for Dinner, will be held April 20 and 21 at 7:30 pm at the Center for Visual Arts (CVA) located at 400 E. Hickory in Denton. The Denton Community Theatre production is directed by Bill Kirkley.
This is a classic French bedroom farce where nothing goes as planned. Bernard, married to Jacqueline, is having an affair with Suzanne, not Suzette. Jacqueline is supposed to visit her mother for the weekend. She does not. Bernard's good friend, Robert, has come for the weekend and is having a clandestine affair with Jacqueline. Suzette is the caterer for Bernard's dinner with Suzanne but is pretending to have an affair with Robert. Suzanne, a model, shows up and pretends to be the caterer. After that it gets even more confused. A laugh riot from beginning to end!
Auditions are open - no appointments. Resumes and headshots are encouraged, but not required.
Performances are June 5,6,12,13 at 7:30 pm and June 7, 14 at 2 pm.
Roles are available for 3 men and 3 women.
