Dallas Theater Center presents Back Back Back by acclaimed playwright Itamar Moses, directed by Hal Brooks, at the Kalita Humphreys Theater March 11-April 5. Back Back Back, Moses' follow-up to his critically-acclaimed play The Four of Us, receives its third full production this season, after its October world premiere at The Old Globe in San Diego and its New York premiere at Manhattan Theatre Club this winter.

Moses' new play, which the Wall Street Journal calls "one of the best new American plays," centers its focus on three major league baseball player and the price they're willing to pay to fulfill their ambitions of fame and glory. Inspired by real-life players Jose Canseco, Mark McGwire and Walt Weiss - three "back to back to back" Rookies of the Year from the Oakland A's - Back Back Back examines friendship, fairness and the American Dream.

"Itamar Moses is one of the most exciting playwrights writing in America today, and one of the most important writers to watch in the years to come," said DTC artistic director Kevin Moriarty. "This is not only a play about baseball and steroids, but also an examination of the personal need and toil of getting ahead at any cost. In our world today, from the sports page to the business page, we're all grappling with the effects of unbridled growth built on fraudulent means, and then dealing with the devastating consequences of those questionable actions after the façade is removed and reality comes crashing down."

Making their DTC debuts are Juan Javier Cardenas (Raul), Will Fowler (Kent) and Dennis Staroselsky (Adam).

The design team includes DTC veterans Takeshi Kata (Scenic Designer), SMU's Claudia Stephens (Costume Designer), and The Broken Chord Collective (Sound Designer), as well as Lucrecia Briceno (Lighting Designer), who is making her DTC debut.

All performances of Back Back Back will be held at the Kalita Humphreys Theater, located at 3636 Turtle Creek Blvd., at Blackburn St., where it runs March 11-April 5.
