Circle Theatre, a professional, regional theatre company in Sundance Square, will preview Incorruptible, by Michael Hollinger, on Thursday, July 16; Friday, July 17; and Saturday, July 18 (matinee). The production officially opens Saturday, July 18, 2009. A post-show opening night party will follow Saturday evening's performance.

Incorruptible is the third play in Circle Theatre's current season. It is also the third production guest-directed at Circle by Robin Armstrong. Ms. Armstrong directed last summer's hit show, Unnecessary Farce. And, in 2007, she directed Circle's comedy-thriller, Snake in the Grass. Both productions received praise from the critics, as well as enthusiastic audience response.

Audiences attending Incorruptible will be transported to France - circa 1250 A.D. As the play unfolds, it is discovered that the bones of the patron saint at a local monastery haven't worked a single miracle in 13 years! The river flooded again last week, the chandler's shop just burned to the ground and nobody's invented the wheelbarrow yet. All seems lost, but in Hollinger's zany farce, anything can - and does - happen. (Adult content)

Incorruptible features Andy Baldwin* (previously seen at Circle in Five Course Love), Deborah Brown* (Unnecessary Farce); Justin Flowers (Unnecessary Farce); Trey Walpole* (According to Goldman); and David Lambert (Unnecessary Farce). This production also marks first-time appearances on Circle Theatre's stage for Meg Bauman, Drenda Lewis and Shane Strawbridge.

Rose Pearson, Circle's Executive Director, states, "When you have a play that revolves around a fast-talking, one-eyed medieval minstrel, who sings and juggles - Robin Armstrong is definitely the director of choice. This cast's outstanding comedic talents, combined with her hilarious "bag of tricks", are the perfect combination for an hysterically funny theatrical event!"
