Casa Mañana Theatre presents Santa Claus - A New Musical, sponsored by Macy's as part of the 2016-2017 Children's Theatre season. Tickets are on sale now.
Delivering toys to children all over the world on Christmas Eve isn't easy, especially when you've been doing it for over a thousand years! When Santa announces that this will be his last Christmas, the search is on for someone to fill some very big shoes - or in this case, boots. Now it's up to Father Christmas and his workshop of elves to get the new Santa Claus ready in time for Christmas! Santa Claus - A New Musical has brand new original songs and lots of holiday cheer.
Santa Claus - A New Musical was developed by Casa Mañana's Director of Education, Noah Putterman with music and lyrics by David Christensen and Luke Holloway. Christensen and Holloway are both New York City-based writers with performance backgrounds. They are currently working on a new work titled Cookies, which is featured in this year's New York Musical Festival. Mr. Putterman will also direct Santa Claus. Michael Midlin will choreograph. Mr. Mindlin is currently the Dance Captain of Disney's Aladdin on Broadway and has extensive credits including Mamma Mia, Bring It On and 9 to 5. He has taught musical theatre and dance master classes extensively throughout the country. Andre Cerullo will serve as Music Director. Mr. Cerullo recently finished the national tour of Pippin as Associate Music Director.
