Casa Mañana Theatre presents Rapunzel! Rapunzel! A Very Hair Fairy Tale, as part of the 2016-2017 Children's Theatre season. Tickets are on sale now.
This comical twist on The Brothers Grimm tale finds Sir Roderick in search of his true love, accompanied by his side-kick (and hairdresser) Edgar, who is searching for the perfect head of hair. With a dragon who's lost his poof, an evil enchantress, and a magical cast of characters, Rapunzel! Rapunzel! will delight princes and princesses of all ages.
The cast includes Alyssa Gardner as Rapunzel, James Chandler as Sir Roderick, Cara Serber as the wicked Lady Za Za, Kyle Igneczi as Edgar and Melissa Rosenberg as the Gypsy Woman. Greg Dulcie will be reprising his role of Socrates the Dragon.
We are ecstatic to have Noah Putterman, our Director of Children's Theatre and Education back in the Director's chair. Noah is in his fourth season at Casa, where he has directed acclaimed productions including Children of Eden and the world premier of Santa Claus: A New Musical. We welcome back Jeff Lankov as Music Director. Lankov is a solo recitalist and collaborative pianist whose Broadway credits include Mary Poppins and Newsies.
Additional creative team members include Samuel Rushen as lighting designer, Katie Dill as scenic designer, Kyle McCord as Sound Designer, Tammy Spencer as costume designer and Catherine Petty-Rogers as hair, wig and make-up designer.
"This show continues to be an audience favorite for its hilarious sense of humor, terrific Disney-esque songs, and general silliness. The show appeals to boys and girls of all ages, and we have put together a top-notch cast of professional actors who will deliver lots of laughs." - Noah Putterman
