Casa Mañana presents Carrie the Musical, August 2-4, as the 2019 Apprentice Program. Tickets are on sale now.
A fully re-imagined musical of Stephen King's gripping tale, Carrie the Musical revolves around Carrie White, a misfit living in the small town of Chamberlain, Maine. At school, she's an outcast who's bullied by the popular crowd and virtually invisible to everyone else. At home she's at the mercy of her loving but cruelly over-protective mother. But Carrie's just discovered she's got a special power, and if pushed too far, she's not afraid to use it.
Carrie the Musical features Sydney Dotson as "Carrie," with Mary Burchill as "Margaret," Grace Moore as "Sue Snell," Caleb A. Barnett as "Tommy Ross," Maya Michalski as "Chris Hargensen," Nasir Panjwani as "Billy Nolan," Sarah Youngblood as "Norma," Tanner ockrum as "George," Zachary Inez Garcia as "Stokes," Theodore Morris as "Freddy," Katie Blanton as "Miss Gardner" and Hayden Hart as "Mr. Stevens." Amaya Adams, Sebastian Archibald, Landry Champlin, Molly Glueck, Marisa Hampton, Berri Rae Harris, Hannah Joslyn, Casey Kassal, Lauren Magee, Stephen Newton, David Postlewate, Tristin Thomas and Joshua Wilson complete this excellent cast.
Carrie the Musical is directed by Jeremy Dumont with W. Brent Dawyer serving as music director and Merrill West as choreographer. The creative design team consists of Mike Sabourin as scenic designer, John Bartenstein as lighting designer, H. Bart McGeehon as projection designer, Tammy Spencer as costume designer, Jonathan Parke as sound designer and Cat Petty-Rogers as hair and makeup designer.
