Casa Mañana's Apprentice Program presents The Secret Garden at Casa Mañana Theatre, July 29 - 31.
This is the second annual production from Casa Mañana's Apprentice Program, after last year's critically-acclaimed production of Les Misérables: School Edition. The program is for students ages 14 through 20 with exceptional theatrical skills.
An orphaned girl sent to live on her uncle's estate discovers a locked garden, and her persistence to find its key uncovers a startling secret. The enchanting children's classic, adapted by Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright Marsha Norman, comes to life in this Tony Award-winning musical celebration of love and family. This Broadway classic is performed entirely by students.
Cast includes: Molly Franco as "Mary Lennox," Brandon Shreve as "Colin," Brandon Whitley as "Dr. Neville Craven" and James Sanders as "Archibald Craven," with Mary McElree as "Rose," Katie Porterfield as "Martha," Rachel Marek as "Mrs. Medlock," Rob Foster as "Ben," Sarah Gordon as "Lily" and Michael Pandolfo as "Dickon."
Additional cast members include: Deanna Boone, Seth Brech, Megan Broussard, Josh Dure, Connie Esch, Courtney Harris, Jonathan Hardin, Andrew Jefferies, Myles Phillips, Addie Presson, Kristin Robinson, Cooper Rodgers, Paige Stinnett, Ty Taylor, Caitlin Turnage, Raleigh Tyler, Emily Warwick, and Braden Wilkerson.
The Secret Garden is directed by Joe Sturgeon, Casa Mañana's Director of Theatre for Youth, and choreographed by Jeremy Dumont. Tammy Spencer is the Costume Designer and Aimee Hurst Bozarth is the Music Director.
Casa Mañana's production of The Secret Garden is presented for a limited engagement at Casa Mañana Theatre. Performance dates are Friday, July 29 at 7:30 p.m.; Saturday, July 30 at 2:00 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. and Sunday, July 31 at 2:00 p.m.
