America’s “bad boys of abridgement,” as they call themselves, best known for The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (abridged), have now taken on the movies in this seriously silly show biz satire, rummaging through the reels and flicking through the films in this riotous carnival of the classics. Giving Hollywood more than just a nip and a tuck, three brave actors (Joel Frapart, Jason Lunn, and Chris Sykes), slash through the celluloid to condense the 186 greatest films in Hollywood’s over-100 year history into a complete compilation of classic cinematic clichés – plus a few brand new clichés they just made up.
Paul McKenzie serves as director of Completely Hollywood (abridged), with Carryn Walker as assistant director/stage manager. Set design is by Clint Alan Ray, with costumes by Rebecca McDonald and props by Robbi Holman. Christina Giles is lighting designer and Jason Rice is sound designer.
