Backstage Access presents "Broadway's Leading Ladies," featuring three Tony-award winning artists; Cady Huffman, Judy Kaye, and Donna McKechnie for a unique one-night show on the main stage at the Music Hall at Fair Park. The show is produced by Terry D. Loftis and Jarrod Freeman, and directed by Will Nunziata.
The producing pair of Loftis and Freeman are setting out to recreate the nostalgia of New York nightlife experience. The show and audience will be situated on the main stage at Music Hall at Fair Park with the beautiful house seating as the backdrop. Reminiscent of a New York club atmosphere, cocktails will be served during the show and the audience will literally be in the action as they enter through the back of house stage door and continue on through the greenroom cocktail lounges.
"Terry and I agreed that we need to stage an experience that is fresh to Dallas. When we got the opportunity to have 3 -Tony winners on one of the most storied stages in the country it was a no brainer." states Freeman. New York based Will Nunziata has been tapped to direct. Freeman goes on to say, "Will has a history with Cady, Judy and Donna. He's worked with them in similar formats and we couldn't be happier that he's coming to Dallas."
Terry Loftis who's history as a Broadway producer includes work on the 5-time Tony nominated show "The Visit" (staring Chita Rivera) and Tony-Award winning show "Bandstand" had this to say about the upcoming engagement, "Our goal was to create a concert series featuring Broadway artists in a setting not typically found in Dallas. We had no interest in filling the main house at Music Hall but to create a much more intimate setting by transforming the stage itself into the seating and performance arena," says Loftis.
Broadway's Leading Ladies is the first concert Backstage Access will produce, with plans for another four shows in 2018.
Broadway's Leading Ladies is September 28, 2017 at 7:30pm at Music Hall. General admission tickets are $89.00, student tickets are available at reduced rate, and sponsorship packages available. Tickets can be purchased online at www.backstageaccess.org.
