The week of October 24th, Amphibian Stage Productions is hosting British playwright, Kieran Lynn. Kieran is the author of Crossing the Line, which was produced over the summer at Amphibian and received positive reviews in the local media, including the Dallas Morning News, Fort Worth Star-Telegram, Fort Worth Weekly, and TheaterJones.com.

For the 2017 season, Kieran returns to Amphibian with the world premiere of The Trap, a play about debt, employee theft, and the difficulties of being a good person in a capitalist society. As with Crossing the Line, Kieran illustrates social issues that are relevant in today's world, but he does so with a quirky sense of humor.

"It's a thrill to have Kieran in Fort Worth to collaborate on his newest plays with Amphibian," said Kathleen Culebro, Artistic Director of Amphibian Stage Productions. "I'm drawn to his writing because it is always both socially conscious and so very funny. You can enjoy it on so many levels."

Kieran received the Artists' International Development Fund grant, awarded by Arts Council England, with the assistance of Kathleen Culebro, as well as other theatre professionals in the area. The grant provides funds to British artists who are looking to further their careers overseas. During Kieran's stay in Fort Worth, members of the local press and theatre community will have the opportunity to speak with him about his new play.

"While I'm here, I will be working on the script and getting it production ready," said Kieran Lynn. "It's validating to see your work done overseas, and it's enjoyable to meet actors and directors from other parts of the world."
