Dust off your porkpie hat, shine your dancing shoes and don your Ray Bans: Performing Arts Fort Worth welcomes The All New Original Tribute to the Blues Brothers to Bass Performance Hall on Monday, March 19, 2012, at 7:30 p.m. Tickets start at $22, and are on sale now.
The All New Original Tribute to the Blues Brothers is a raucous homage to The Blues Brothers, the blues and soul revivalist band fronted by actors Dan Aykroyd and the late John Belushi. The show features the London-based ensemble performing songs from The Blues Brothers’ 1978 album, Briefcase Full of Blues, and from the hit 1980 The Blues Brothers film, including “Shake a Tail Feather,” “Respect,” “Gimme Some Lovin’” and “Everybody Needs Somebody to Love.”
The band is led by Brad Henshaw (as “Jake”) and Daniel Fletcher (as “Elwood”). Backing them is a six-piece band, complete with a horn section, and three backup singers called The Bluettes. The show also features razzle-dazzle choreography and a state-of-the-art stage set.
