Black Flag Theatre Company opens their inaugural season with the regional premiere of Uncanny Valley by Thomas Gibbons, playwright in residence at InterAct Theatre Company in Philadelphia. Sue Birch (Artistic Director of Theatre Britain) stars as Claire, a retiring neuroscientist tasked with one final project - to teach the newest advancement in Artificial Intelligence (Michael Salimitari, Perfect Wedding) how to be human. This new play draws on current research in Artificial Intelligence and robotics to explore the painful divide between creator & creation and the ethical minefield that awaits us all in the very near future.
Directed by Hugh Lehman. The play runs March 30 - April 28, 2018, in the Cox Playhouse in the downtown Plano Arts District. Tickets are on sale now. Seating is limited. Run time: 90 minutes.
About UNCANNY VALLEY:
