Brink- the edge of a cliff or other high area, or the point at which something good or bad will happen. As we forge our future in a world plagued with decreasing faith in establishment and hyper-scrutiny toward marginalized communities, we look to use theatre as a tool to spread awareness of oft-ignored social problems. Our programming for our fourth inaugural season focuses on the importance of overcoming adversity, the fragility of mental health and the danger of repressed emotions.
This season's heroes, burdened with tangible responsibilities and haunted by the dark secrets of the past, are not so noble when tested. With two intimate and innovative pieces, this season will prove dangerous and unforgettable.

Memphis - April 3, 1968. A storm rages as we see a man shuffle into Room 306 of the Lorraine Motel. This man is the monumental peace activist and famed public speaker DR. Martin Luther King, bone-tired from delivering his "I've Been to the Mountaintop" speech in support of a labor strike. He is visited by the beautiful and fiery Camae, a hotel maid burdened with a mission far more important than serving coffee and a newspaper. Hall's Olivier-Award winning play charges audiences to see our beloved Dr. King as The Man and not the mystery. Executive Director Trey Morgan Lewis stars as the Civil Rights titan in this hilarious and insightful re-imagining of
Dr. King's last night on Earth.
