The Column Awards serves the dual purpose of recognizing talent amongst the diverse Dallas & Fort Worth Arts scene, and also as an avid fundraiser for the New York-based charity organization, Broadway Cares/Equity Fights Aids.

Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS is one of the nation's leading industry-based HIV/AIDS fundraising and grant-making organizations. BCEFA funds the social service work of The Actors Fund and awards grants to AIDS service organizations nationwide. From their 2015 Awards Ceremony, The Column's creator John Garcia announced a $6,500 donation was made to BCEFA from the Dallas & Fort Worth theatre community.

This year, the 18th Annual Column Awards Gala will be held on Sunday, February 19th at the Grand Prairie Uptown Theater. Tickets and more information will can be found http://thecolumnawards.org/here.
