The soon-to-be breakout star of the new Netflix show Grace and Frankie, Baron Vaughn is bringing his absurdist take on such subjects as race, relationships, Cocoa Puffs and credit scores to Fort Worth for a special two-night standup comedy event at Amphibian Stage Productions.

Baron Vaughn will perform from Friday, June 5 and Saturday, June 6 at Amphibian Stage Productions.

Tickets for Baron Vaughn's performances are $15. For tickets and more information, theatergoers may call 817-923-3012, email boxoffice@amphibianstage.com, or visit www.amphibianstage.com.

Vaughn is known for an act as energetic as it is intelligent, with finely-crafted ramblings that shoot off into pop culture references. Case in point: a commentary on failed relationships rapidly devolves into a medley of early-90s cartoon theme songs - DuckTales, TaleSpin and Gummi Bears included.

In the new series Grace and Frankie, Baron plays "Bud," Lily Tomlin's adopted son who identifies more with his Jewish-American family than he does his African heritage. A classically trained actor who started his career on Broadway stages, Baron Vaughn is poised to join his friend and fellow Boston University alum Uzo Aduba (Crazy Eyes of Orange is the New Black) as the next breakout star of a Netflix Original Series.

Amphibian's event is giving the people of Fort Worth the chance to see this incredible comedian in a classy setting (i.e. no drink minimums or cheesy emcees). Dallas-native and comedian Chris Tellez, who is currently making waves on the Austin comedy scene, will make a return to the North Texas stage to open for Vaughn.

Says Vaughn, "I'm incredibly excited to be performing at Amphibian! The energy is right. The layout is great. The people are wonderful. I'm happy that this is the place where I'll begin to create a relationship with Dallas/Fort Worth. Having attended Amphibian as an audience member, I'm sure people will find this to be the perfect environment for my style and my humor. Let's get funky."

BARON VAUGHN is an actor and comedian soon to be known as "Bud" in the new Netflix Original Series "Grace and Frankie" (starring Jane Fonda, Lily Tomlin, Sam Waterston, and Martin Sheen) premiering May 8. Baron has performed stand-up on Conan (twice), Late Night with Jimmy Fallon, and has made numerous appearances on Comedy Central, including his own "Half Hour" comedy special. He has landed on the line-up of the nation's best comedy festivals including the HBO U.S. Comedy Arts Festival (Aspen), The Just for Laughs Comedy Festival (Montreal), The South Beach Comedy Festival (Miami), Moontower Comedy Festival (Austin), San Francisco Sketchfest, Bridgetown Comedy Festival (Portland), and Vancouver Comedy Festival. He has also appeared as a talking head on many VH1, MTV, FUSE network shows. as well as the films Black Dynamite, Cloverfield, The Other Guys (Deleted Scenes), and was a series regular on USA's "Fairly Legal." Vaughn currently co-hosts the weekly podcast Maltin on Movies (with legendary film critic Leonard Maltin), featured on Paul Scheer's new online network, Wolfpop. His latest comedy recording, "Raised By Cable" (produced by AST Records) is available on Amazon and iTunes.
