Amphibian Stage Productions opens its first main stage production of the 2015 season, Time Stands Still by Donald Margulies, this Thursday, kicking off a four-week run of the play. Jakie Cabe, Aleisha Force, Greg Holt and Kelsey Milbourn star in this poignant drama running Thursday, February 26 through Sunday, March 22 at the Berlene T. and Jarrell R. Milburn Theatre at Amphibian Stage Productions.

Mary Catherine Burke, a New York-based director, leads this new production. Ms. Burke has been an Artistic Director, Associate Producer, and freelance director for over a decade, and is currently developing Chick Flick The Musical for a commercial production.

DFW-based actor Jakie Cabe first performed with Amphibian in the staged reading of All this Intimacy in 2010 and was most recently on stage in the 2013 production of Fiction. Greg Holt appeared with Amphibian in a staged reading of A Public Reading of an Unproduced Screenplay About the Death of Walt Disney in 2014 in the role of Walt Disney. This will be the Amphibian main stage debut for Aleisha Force and Kelsey Milbourn.

Additionally, Time Stands Still will feature set design by Bob Lavallee, lighting design by Suzanne Lavender and sound design by David Lanza.

In this powerful play that "crackles with bright wit and intelligence", Pulitzer-winner Donald Margulies gives us the poignant story of Sarah and James. As a photojournalist and foreign correspondent their relationship centers on telling the toughest stories from around the world. After a roadside bombing abroad nearly takes Sarah's life, James decides that they've risked enough and asks her to stay in New York, where he hopes to nurture her and their declining relationship back to health. Caught between James's loving appeals and her ambition to continue reporting, Sarah faces the life-altering decision between settling down or risking everything for her career.

Time Stands Still will run from Thursday, February 26 through Sunday, March 22 at Amphibian Stage Productions. Thursday, February 26 is a private opening night for Amphibian's Devonian members and press and is available by invitation only. A "pay-what-you-can" preview performance will be available on Wednesday, February 25 that is open to the public.

Tickets for Time Stands Still are $33 for adults, $28 for seniors, and $18 for students. For tickets and more information, theatergoers may call 817-923-3012, email boxoffice@amphibianproductions.org, or visit www.amphibianproductions.
