Pianist Garrick Ohlsson closes out the Philharmonic Society’s 2015-16 season with a Romantic recital program showcasing his musical mastery. The program features Mussorgsky’s virtuosic showpiece Pictures at an Exhibition, Beethoven’s mesmerizing Piano Sonata No. 31, Op. 110, and works by Chopin—including his technically stunning Études, Op. 25, and the melodic Ballade in G minor, Op. 23.. The recital features projections of the works of art that inspired the two composers.
