Laguna Art Museum will host Jay DeFeo: Trees from September 21, 2024, to January 12, 2025, showcasing the artist's exploration of trees through her drawings and photographs. This exhibition is the first dedicated to DeFeo's fascination with the natural world and includes her works from the Tree series created in the 1950s. Curated by Rochelle Steiner, the exhibition features nine drawings alongside photographs taken during the 1970s, creating a visual dialogue that highlights her artistic evolution.
