Theatre Out, Orange County's gay and lesbian theatre company, is pleased to announce the return of the holiday classic, LAST CHRISTMAS I GAVE YOU MY HEART BUT THE VERY NEXT DAY YOU SAID YOU WERE GAY by Darcy Hogan. The show received it's world premiere performance at Theatre Out in 2007 and became an immediate audience favorite. Since that time, the show has been presented annually to rave reviews.

LAST CHRISTMAS I GAVE YOU MY HEART BUT THE VERY NEXT DAY YOU SAID YOU WERE GAY follows the story of Holly and a visit she receives from a very special group of elves. Holly has a problem: everytime she falls in love, the guy turns out to be gay. In a moment of Christmas hope, she texts the one person who can find her a man: Santa Claus! On the night before Christmas, though, Santa is a busy man and so he sends his favorite elves down from the North Pole to help Holly and to earn their jingle bells. Once the elves arrive they realize Holly needs more than a man. She's got a lot to learn about the true meaning of Christmas. Santa's elves - Christopher, Chico and Judy - spend the night singing and dancing to make sure Holly realizes the true gayness of the Christmas holiday...and along the way, she might just find a man unless a drunk Mrs. Claus finds him first.

"Last Christmas has become a holiday tradition for so many people in our community," commented producer and Theatre Out co-founder, Joey Baital. "We look forward to produce the show each year as much as the audience looks forward to seeing it. One of the best things about the show is once you see, you'll never listen to Christmas carols without hearing the elves 'original' lyrics!"

"The exciting thing about Last Christmas is that each year the playwright Darcy Hogan subtley expands and tweaks the script so the audience sees a slightly different show," explained Last Christmas... director and Theatre Out co-founder David C. Carnevale. "This year, there are some great new songs and witty dialogue the audience will love."

Last Christmas... has been a hit since it's first production with the OC Weekly exclaiming, "This nearly broke the Goulet-o-meter!" while StageSceneLA raves Last Christmas... is "...tuneful, risqué, often hilarious December merriment with a decidedly gay twist." The OC Weekly went on to say that Last Christmas... "Gleefully offends traditionalists!"

Under the direction of Co-Founder and Managing Director, David C. Carnevale, the cast includes Alexis Stansfield, JT Corzine, Chelsea Feller, Tito Ortiz and Lori Kelley. The production design is by Joey Baital and David C. Carnevale.

Tickets for LAST CHRISTMAS I GAVE YOU MY HEART BUT THE VERY NEXT DAY YOU SAID YOU WERE GAY are $20 general admission and can be purchased at www.theatreout.com or at the Box Office on the night of the performance based on availability. All performances are at Theatre Out's new venue at 402 W. 4th Street in Santa Ana. Peformances begin December 6, 2013 through December 21, 2013; Thursday = Saturday at 8:00pm, Sunday at 2:00pm.
