Shakespeare Orange County will begin its 2013 summer season with Shakespeare's TWEFLTH NIGHT or WHAT YOU WILL, July 19 - August 3, 2013 with a preview on July 18, 2013. Directed by Thomas F. Bradac and Alyssa Bradac, TWELFTH NIGHT performs at the Festival Amphitheatre in Garden Grove, California.
After a devastating storm and shipwreck, the beautiful Viola finds herself on the shores of Illyria. To find work, Viola must dress as a man to gain willful employment. As Viola works for her new Master Orsino under the guise of Cesario, she begins to fall for her master while Orsino only longs for Lady Olivia. To make matters more complicated, Lady Olivia falls for Cesario (Viola's new identity). A love triangle, multiple schemes, and the revelation of mistaken identities bring multiple lovers together. Veteran actor John Walcutt will play the part of Malvolio, Karissa Vacker will play the part of Viola, James Lippold will play the part of Orsino, and John FreDeRick Jones returns in the role of Sir Toby Belch.

John Walcutt is an established actor returning to Shakespeare Orange County in the role of Malvolio and will also appear in the title role of MACBETH later in the 2013 season. Walcutt has appeared in past Shakespeare Orange County productions as the title character of RICHARD III and Cassius in JULIUS CEASAR. Walcutt has also appeared around Southern California at South Coast Repertory, The Old Globe, the Mark Taper Forum, among others. His 200+ film and television credits include TITANIC, SEABISCUIT, MAD MEN, JAG, and Beverly Hills, 90210.

Performances for all SOC productions begin at 8:15 p.m. A speciAl Green show will be presented nightly at 7:30 p.m., and free pre-performance discussions with Dr. Kent Lehnhoff will be conducted on selected evenings.
