Ron Cohn is a man with many hats; attorney, director, teacher, manager, publicist, and producer with an impressive list of credits as an acting and performance coach as well. This time around, Ron will focus on another facet of his many talents: singing - with one 2 PM matinee performance only on Sunday, July 10th at Arthur Newman Theatre in The Joslyn Center Theater in Palm Desert.
In "My Desert Song", Mr. Cohn relives the days when New York cabaret rooms were filled with the songs and humor of Irving Berlin, Cole Porter, Noel Coward, Jerome Kern, Rogers and Hart and more. Ron will bring all this music together in one fun, song-filled show of which a reviewer in Cabaret Scenes said that "he is a grand interpreter clearly having a great time on stage... his performance is one of the more engaging this year... a knowledgeable song picker giving the show variety and heart."Ron Cohn has also directed and managed over the years for many top artists including; Julie Wilson, Jane A. Johnston, Baby Jane Dexter, Joan Curto, Joanne Tatham, Pam Munter, plus over 60 plays and musical reviews. Ron is a director of the Mabel Mercer Foundation, assisting Donald Smith with the Foundation's Cabaret Convention for many years. His contributions of talent to charities and benefits have been well recognized by many in addition to his seven years as a master teacher at the O'Neill Cabaret Symposium and four years at The Singers Forum in NYC.Videos
