Pat Whiteman will bring her acclaimed show "A Whiteman Sampler" to Palm Desert's Arthur Newman Theatre on Sunday, June 5, 2016 at 2 PM. The Los Angeles-based singer will feature songs that have become associated with Ms. Whiteman from her numerous performances over the years. Ms. Whiteman's pianist and musical director will be John Boswell, with direction by Broadway and cabaret's own Jason Graae. Tickets for this show are $11 cash at the door, which opens at 1 PM, and is part of Les Michael's Sundays In Summer Cabaret Series.
Pat Whiteman is a classically trained singer who has found a niche in the Cabaret World with her rich expressive voice, charming stage presence and effortless delivery. From moving ballads and quirky character pieces, to powerhouse belt numbers, Pat's shows always sell-out. When not performing her shows, or the guest vocalist for others, Pat is a sought-after voice teacher and performance coach for others. And her group performance workshops are usually booked well in advance due to the limited number of openings. Music Director, John Boswell is no stranger to the desert, having played many times at Annenberg and McCallum Theatres. And Jason Graae, who directed Pat's show, is another desert regular, and has traveled and performed in dozens of musicals on-and-off Broadway in addition to his own cabaret shows.
