Kathy Griffin To Make Fourth Center Appearance 5/15

Emmy Award-winner and Grammy-nominated comedienne Kathy Griffin returns to the Orange County Performing Arts Center's Segerstrom Hall on Saturday, May 15 at 7:30 p.m. She has
also penned her first book, an autobiography titled A Memoir According to Kathy Griffin, and released a new DVD, She'll Cut a Bitch. This will be Griffin's fourth appearance at the Center, and it will feature her now-famous rapid fire acerbic humor that has brought her both fame and a self-imposed place on the mythical D-List.

Tickets to Kathy Griffin start at $46 and are available now at special discounted rates to groups of 20 or more by calling the Group Services office at 714.755.0236. Single tickets will go on public sale Sunday, January 31. They will be available online at OCPAC.org, by calling 714.556.2787 or at the Center's Box Office at 600 Town Center Drive in Costa Mesa. 

Griffin, an alumna of the famed Los Angeles Groundlings, achieved national recognition during her fouryear stint on the NBC sitcom Suddenly Susan as Vickie Groener, Brooke Shields' colleague. Griffin also guest starred on such series as ER and Seinfeld, where she created recurring character Sally Weaver.

Following her first HBO Half Hour Comedy Special in 1998, the network gave her a one-hour special titled A Hot Cup of Talk. Griffin has also supplied voices for characters on the animated series Dilbert and The Simpsons, and she appeared in a dual role on the X-Files as well as in Eminem's video The Real Slim Shady.

For three years, Griffin co-hosted The Billboard Music Awards and appeared on numerous talk shows including Late Night with David Letterman, The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, Howard Stern and The View, as well as having been featured in the films It's Pat and Four Rooms. She has a passion for reality TV. She participated in, and won Celebrity Mole on ABC, and then hosted the NBC reality series Average Joe as well as the MTV series, Kathy's So-Called Reality.

Griffin has performed four very successful stand-up specials for Bravo. The first in 2005 called Kathy Griffin....Is Not Nicole Kidman, the second in May of 2006 called Strong Black Woman and the third Kathy Griffin-Straight To Hell. Her DVD stand-up special, Allegedly, and She'll Cut a Bitch are in stores. In 2005, Kathy Griffin: My Life On The D-List premiered on Bravo to rave reviews. The show earned an Emmy nomination for Best Reality Program in 2006 and took the award in the third and fourth seasons.

Her comedy CD called For Your Consideration garnered a Grammy nomination for Best Comedy
Album. Also in 2007, Oxygen placed Griffin 17th in its list of the World's 50 Funniest Women Alive.
