South Coast Repertory and Hal Landon, Jr. will celebrate their 31st season of A Christmas Carol Nov. 27 through Dec. 26.
Landon (everyone's favorite somersaulting Scrooge) and director John-David Keller (who also plays Mr. Fezziwig) have been part of this beloved Orange County tradition since its inception in 1980. SCR Founding Artists Richard Doyle and Art Koustik will reprise their long-time roles as the Ghost of Christmas Past and Joe, respectively. Many of the other actors have been seen in Christmas Carols past as well, including Daniel Blinkoff as Bob Cratchit, Jennifer Parsons as Mrs. Cratchit, Karen Hensel as Mrs. Fezziwig and Timothy Landfield as the Ghost of Christmas Present.
Joining their ranks this year are Gregg Daniel (SCR's Fences) as Marley and Puja Mohindra (TV's "Three Rivers") as Belle. And in an interesting twist, Jordan Bellow, who as a child in 2004 played Boy on the Street, is back as an adult in the role of Thomas Shelley.
All 16 child actors are making their first appearance in the holiday show. (Editors: If you would like a list of the children and their hometowns, please contact Madeline Porter at mad@scr.org.)
George and Julianne Argyros are the Honorary Producers. The Segerstrom Stage season media partner is KOCE-TV,and the media partner for A Christmas Carol is The Orange County Register.
