Anaheim's official resident theater company, Chance Theater is pleased to remount the heartwarming and wondrous Little Women - The Broadway Musical. Book by Allan Knee, music by Jason Howland, lyrics by Mindi Dickstein, directed by Casey Long, associate direction by Sarah Figoten Wilson, and music direction by Bill Strongin. Little Women - The Broadway Musical will preview from November 25 through December 2, regular performances will begin December 3 and continue through December 23 on the Cripe Stage at Chance Theater @ Bette Aitken theater arts Center.

From the novel that holds a special place in the heart of American literature, comes a new musical which proves this timeless story is still relevant, funny, and heartbreaking today. Join rambunctious Jo, practical Meg, sweet Beth, and romantic Amy as they embark on a coming-of-age tale filled with drama, romance, humor (and song!), all under the watchful eye of their beloved Marmee while father is away during the Civil War. You will not want to miss this terrific theatrical treat for the holidays, perfect for the entire family!

While generations of readers have enjoyed following the trials and travails of the March sisters' adventures in print, Chance Theater is proud to bring their stories to life in touching song, witty banter, and lively storytelling. This will be the fourth time that Chance Theater has produced Little Women as part of its Holiday Literature Series (which also includes Anne of Green Gables and The Secret Garden: The Musical), including a limited engagement at the La Mirada Performing Arts Center. Chance founding artist Casey Long returns again, having helmed each of the prior Chance productions.

"I love returning to this show every couple of years," said director Casey Long. "The bond between the sisters and Marmee is something that resounds with audiences today just as much as it did when it was first published. The show is epic in scope, involving many different love stories that involve this very devoted family. And to bring the show back to our intimate theater, just makes it all the more personal for anyone watching it."
