Cabrillo Music Theatre announces the next in a series of fundraising and entertainment events in the recently renovated Founders' Room of the Thousand Oaks Civic Arts Plaza. DORIS AND ME, a tribute to Doris Day in celebration her 90th birthday, will take place on Sunday, March 30th, at 7:00PM. The Founders Room is located in the Kavli Theatre, Thousand Oaks Civic Arts Plaza, 2100 Thousand Oaks Boulevard in Thousand Oaks.

DORIS AND ME is one man's quirky, loveable obsession with music and movie icon Doris Day. As the ultimate obsessed fan, Scott Dreier ("Smudge" from Cabrillo's recent FOREVER PLAID) makes DORIS AND ME more than just a typical tribute show to a timeless artist, taking the audience with him on a sentimental journey to nostalgic times gone by. As he lovingly shares through classic treasured songs, personal anecdotes, humor, heart, and many Doris Day stories and history, Scott never lets us forget how much he loves her, and why he has become Doris Day's biggest fan. Scott entertains with 26 Doris Day songs, including, "Sentimental Journey," "Que Sera, Sera," and "Secret Love."

The Founders' Room of the Thousand Oaks Civic Arts Plaza is the perfect space for DORIS AND ME. Says Lewis Wilkenfeld, Cabrillo Music Theatre's Artistic Director, "Scott Dreier dazzled Cabrillo audiences during FOREVER PLAID. When Scott heard about Cabrillo's Animal Rescue efforts - which would be near and dear to Ms. Day - he offered to bring his amazing talent and passion to support our 'Beyond The Footlights' programs." Adds Wilkenfeld, "With Ms. Day's 90th Birthday at hand, the timing for this 'sentimental journey' was irresistible!"

The Cabrillo FOUNDERS' ROOM Concert Fundraiser Series - DORIS AND ME starring Scott Dreier - will take place on Sunday, March 30th, 7:00PM in the Founders Room of the Thousand Oaks Civic Arts Plaza. The celebration includes a pre-show cocktail hour featuring hors d'ouevres provided by the Mermaid Tavern, and will be followed by a reception with Scott, with desserts from Valley Bakery.

Tickets are $50, and proceeds go to support Cabrillo Music Theatre's "Beyond The Footlights" Outreach Programs. Tickets may can be purchased at www.cabrillomusictheatre.com, or by phone at the Cabrillo Music Theatre office, 805-497-8613. Seating is limited, and the event is sure to sell out quickly.
