Michael Seel, Executive Director of Boston Court Performing Arts Center, has announced he will be leaving the organization at the end of August 2016 to pursue other interests. In his letter to the Board, Seel wrote, "While my 14 plus years associated with Boston Court have been the most rewarding of my lifetime, it is time for me to transition to another phase in my career. Thank you all for the tremendous support and great opportunities Boston Court has given me."
Seel has been with Boston Court, the Pasadena-based performing arts center, in a number of capacities since its inception. He was hired as General Manager in 2002 when the state-of-the-art facility built by artist and philanthropist Z. Clark Branson was being completed. He transitioned to Managing Director in 2003, when the non-profit organization was formed, served as Producing Director beginning in 2005, and was promoted to Executive Director in 2008.
"Michael has been instrumental in establishing Boston Court Performing Arts Center as an artistically distinguished, nationally recognized organization," said Board Chair Robbin Kelley. " His remarkable dedication has helped put us in a very strong position, given our brief history. We have a talented and ambitious staff that will ensure a seamless transition and help us continue to grow and prosper."
Boston Court Performing Arts Center's Board of Directors will be conducting a national search for a successor.
