The Woodhull Project features two impactful solo plays examining the journeys of Victoria Woodhull and Shirley Chisholm, two pioneering women who sought the U.S. presidency a century apart. Emma Palzere-Rae portrays Woodhull, reflecting on her 1872 campaign amidst her legacy and the historical context of women's rights, while Ingrid Griffith brings Chisholm's story to life as she tackles the political landscape of the 1970s as the first Black woman to run for a major party's nomination. Directed by Albert Cremin, these performances offer a meaningful look at social justice and the ongoing struggle for equality in the U.S. The program will be available to stream through November 1.
