Jimmy & Lorraine: A Musing is a thought-provoking play by Talvin Wilks, centered on the friendship between groundbreaking writers and activists James Baldwin and Lorraine Hansberry. Featuring Vanessa R. Butler as Hansberry and Jon-Michael Reese as Baldwin, the production explores the intersection of art and activism during a tumultuous period in American history. Directed by Brian Jennings, this three-actor performance also includes Nick Roesler in various roles, providing insight into the lives and legacies of these influential figures within the Civil Rights Movement. The production runs from October 10 to October 19 at Trinity College's Austin Arts Center.
