Firefighting and fire starting get the noir-camp treatment in Adam Szymkowiczs Incendiary, which tackles the whimsical dilemma of star-crossed lovers in the arsonist and arson-investigator fields. Incendiary follows Elise, a young female fire chief, stuck between enjoying fighting fires and being drawn to starting them. When she begins dating Jake, the detective sent to investigate this string of mysterious arsons, their lives intertwine in unprecedented ways, involving everyone around them, as they start a blaze the likes of which has never been seen before.
