Two readings of new holiday works by Connecticut Shoreline playwrights. "Miss Margaret's Barton Cottage Surprise" by Laura Thoma-12 years after Jane Austen's Sense and Sensibility, Margaret Dashwood returns home to surprise her family for the holidays. When she finds her former love interest, Lavinia, masquerading as the maid, jealousy, betrayal, and wild revelations threaten to upturn her plans for a lovely family holiday. Is Margaret willing to reveal her authentic self to save Christmas?
"Holiday House" by Teresa Mella Fogel-Amanda is desperate and, with nowhere to go, breaks into the home of a former client. After the loss of her father, Sara goes to their summer home only to find a stranger there. Can the magic of Christmas help these two women find their way?
