“Grease" the beloved musical set in the 1950s, follows the lives of a group of high school students at Rydell High. The story revolves around the budding romance between Danny, the cool leader of the T-Birds gang, and Sandy, a sweet and innocent transfer student. Despite their summer fling, Danny and Sandy struggle to navigate the social dynamics of high school, leading to misunderstandings and conflicts. Alongside their love story, the musical explores the lives of their friends, including the tough-talking Pink Ladies. With catchy songs, energetic dance numbers, and memorable characters, "Grease" captures the essence of teenage rebellion, friendship, and the pursuit of true love amidst the backdrop of rock 'n' roll and 1950s nostalgia.
Thanks to a state of the art theatre with video and other advanced capabilities, NPT is able to incorporate video and advanced graphic elements into each show. If you loved the movie you will really dig the stage version.
In addition to innovative shows with multicultural casting, as a 501c3 nonprofit, NPT’s template is also to partner with a community social justice nonprofit that reflect the theme of each show. This year NPT has chosen Wakeman Boys and Girls club for Grease. NPT youth will learn about and volunteer for activities with this organization as well as helping to shine a spotlight on their mission.
The principal cast includes, Kelley Alejos as “Sandy”, Austin Mirsoltani as “Danny”, Margo Tipping as “Rizzo”, Hunter Smith as “Kenickie” and Randye Kaye as “Principal Lynch”.
